Just Watched "Paranormal Activity"

I'm not interested in the "shock" ghost films that are only made to make you jump out of your seat. I prefer films that try to create an atmosphere. For instance, "The Haunting" directed by Robert Wise or "Legend of Hell House" --- just great stuff! And I heard a lot of buzz about "Parnomal Activity" which was billed as a VERY low budget film made by real people, ala "Blair Witch Project." Basically the story is about a couple in which the girl is apparently being haunted by demon. So the boyfriend sets up a camera in their bedroom to try and collect visual evidence of anything going on. You watch the footage, ala "Ghost Hunters," of them sleeping away and things start to happen. Small at first. And that's all I'll say. I was completely expecting to non impressed, but the gal actor really creates a character that you care about. Now, was it the scariest film I've ever seen? (Like all the comments of theater goers, mostly under the age of 20) No. Was it worth seeing! Yes! Highly recommend for a rental at one of those Red Box machines for $1.
